"Throughout the 1980s, Eyes Of The World was played at a quicker and quicker tempo, and its length was curtailed. In March 1990, though, the Dead brought back the slower tempo, akin to the 1974 arrangement of Eyes, and from 1990-1995 there were countless wonderful, patient versions of this standout from 1973's Wake Of The Flood. Like many renditions from March 1990 onward, this one from Buckeye Lake opened the second set." - David Lemieux
