What song stands out?

Is there a song that stands out for you the most from Pink Floyd? I personally like The Wall. It's awesome! I read that it is about Waters' own life. The loneliness he experienced being on the road all the time, the death of his father. It's a good song with a deep meaning that resonates within a person.

Yes I don't think Waters has ever forgiven the British State for the death of his Father during WW2, you should listen to the following album The Final cut

As for my favorite tack, there's quite a few, comfortably numb from the wall, wish you were here from the album of the same name or Echoes from their earlier stuff.

Off the top of my head, “Run Like Hell” stands out as a unique song for Pink Floyd to do.

The guitar part (after the trippy delay-laden intro) that leads into the verses and closes the song is really quite nice… almost pretty. With the whole song set to a danceable beat, you get caught off-guard in your jammin’ good time when you realize what the lyrics are about.

Another song that stands out is Careful with that Axe, Eugene .
..a psychedelic masterpiece full of suspence.

The Gold It’s In The…. stands out to me as a departure from their sound at the time, maybe an attempt at early 70s stoner rock - and to me, they nailed it. Pigs On The Wing (Parts 1 and 2) stands out as another departure, the closest thing to a love song that I can recall from the band. Again, nailed it.

Age is only a number....what's in a number.......my late dad used to say : " you're not old, you were just born BEFORE someone else".....he was damn right. When people say the 70s or the 90s are distant past, I feel it is only yesterday .
In any case, you have to remember that time waits for no man
Having rambled on like an ol' fart, DSOTM is Floyd's coolest album.
