Coming from very far away in hard rock roots, I have learned to appreciate Death Metal quite a bit. I don't have a fav band though.

My top three at the moment would be Six Feet Under Carcass and Cannibal Corpse.

I can appreciate Cannibal Corpse....one of my mates got me hooked to it some years ago.

For example, lots of rockers disdain thrash metal and speed metal.....I don't ...I believe that if the roots are rock and do not cross over to wimpy pop, all sub-genres are welcome. Moreover, I could never accept nu-metal (eg Rammstein) because there are elements of wimpy popish r n b mixed with AOR in they genre which just doesn't get under my skin
