Need something to recreate a 70's-style rock song but I"m not sure what.

I've written a 70's style rock song for a female vocalist and 70's style rock band. It's pretty close to being a duplicate in style and sound to Ronstadt's "You're No Good" same instrumentation could be used--lead electric guitar, bass electric guitar, rhythm guitar, electric keyboard, drums and a few of the musicians doubling as backup vocals, and female lead vocalist. I've tried perusing rock bands for hire but no one similar to this kind of setup shows up in groups available for hire on GigSalad and a few other similar Bands For Hire websites--local to me anyway, the northwestern part of Los Angeles. So now I'm considering hiring a pro on DAW's who might be able to put together a digital version without live musicians. I've checked out some software like ACE Studios and found the vocalist recreations to be credible enough singing lyrics for these ears.

So what's the best way to go about this? Live band that I'd have to haul into a studio--if I could even find a suitable band, or just hiring an expert to do all this digitally? Of course then I have to get my hands on the expert. Are there people who can do this digitally--a four minute song that is a virtual recreation of You're No Good except with different lyrics and music? If so how do I advertise for them? Thanks much in advance for any help you good people can render.

Have you tried a freelance website like fiverr.com?
I'm checking out the people who advertise there. They all give a price like "$15" all the way up to several thousand but they also all say "+ fees" Can you tell me what that means? What sort of fees on top of their hourly rate?

My advice would be to sign up for an account. Fiverr is a well respected (US) site that's been around a long time. Once you have an account, you can contact the vendors direct and sort out any questions about service and fees. They also have feedback so you can see how previous clients got on.

In fact fiverr is about as old as the internet, to begin with everything was five dollars, their tagline was 'for 5 dollars I will....' Obviously inflation over the years means most vendors charge more or much more than 5 dollars now.

I have used fiverr a lot with little problem, sure there is the odd rogue there but you can mount a complaint if you think you've been miss-sold and they (fiverr) do not tolerate rogue vendors, they are quick to offer a refund and ban the vendor if there's a problem as although you have to pay fiverr up front, the vendor does not get paid until you mark the work as completed satisfactorily.

Thanks very much. It turns out to be a site worth its weight in music producing gold. (y)
