The Strokes was formed in New York City in 1998. The band consists of lead vocalist Julian Casablancas, guitarist Albert Hammond Jr., guitarist Nick Valensi, bassist Nikolai Fraiture, and drummer Fabrizio Moretti. The Strokes rose to fame in the early 2000s with their debut album "Is This It" (2001), which was praised for its raw energy, sharp lyrics, and punk-inspired sound. The band is widely credited with helping to revive the garage rock and post-punk revival movements of the early 21st century. Some of their other popular albums include "Room on Fire" (2003), "First Impressions of Earth" (2006), and "The New Abnormal" (2020). The Strokes have a dedicated fanbase and are widely regarded as one of the most important and influential rock bands of the 21st century. They are known for their energetic and charismatic live shows, and continue to tour and release new music to this day.

The Strokes are a great band to listen to. They have a strong punk influence in their sound and songwriting, and their music often features fast and driving beats, catchy hooks.

I like their image and fashion sense that have played a significant role in establishing their identity and contributing to their popularity.
